Racially motivated murder in St. Louis.

From the CofCC.org News Team

Black killersScott Garner, 17, was shot near his home in the 2500 block of Salu Street on Sunday, June 10th. A coroner said Garner was shot in the chest and left thigh. He died at an Alton hospital just hours later. A second teen who was with Scott at the time was shot in the leg.

Reginald Stegall, 19, Bradley Everage and Nathanial Fleming, both 18, all of Alton, were each charged with one count of first-degree murder and aggravated battery with a firearm.murder victim

The three defendants had previously harassed Scott and made threats against him. They appear to have been laying in wait for him to come out of his house, the day he was shot. Race appears to be the primary motivation for killing Scott Garner.

The St. Louis media is already downplaying the murder. Channel 5, KSDK, called it a “random shooting.” The Alton Police Chief claimed “no conflict or no issue between the two groups.” This is in sharp contrast with the testimony of the victims family who say the harassment of their son by the perpetrators had been going on for months. The family says they had filed police reports detailing the harassment.
