Polish president dies in freak plane crash. A true European leader is lost.

Poland’s Conservative president Lech Kaczynski was on his way to commemorate the mass murder of the Polish officer’s corps and intelligentsia by the Soviet Union in the Katyn Forrest. His plane crashed in a thick fog. Numerous other government officials also perished.

Kaczynski and his twin brother, former Polish child actors, founded the Polish Law and Order party in 2001. The party was built around former members of the anti-communist Polish Solidarity movement. Kaczynski is a strong conservative and a “euroskeptic,” which means he opposes ceding more power the the EU. The party received 32.1% of the vote for Polish parliament in 2007.

Kaczynski was under constant attack by the leftists in the EU and the European media. In 2007 he was convicted of a crime by an EU kangaroo court for outlawing Homosexual parades in Warsaw. After becoming president, Kaczynski was a strong leader who asserted Poland on an international scale. Kaczynski was known for improving relations with Germany and Russia without letting either country trample it’s sovereignty.

The president’s wife and three Polish members of parliament also died.

Russian President Vladmir Putin and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk lay flowers at the crash site together.

Recently the Polish film industry made a full length movie about the Katyn Forrest massacre and the attempt by the Soviet Union to cover it up after the end of WWII. It was a serious crime in post-WWII Poland to state that the massacre was carried out by Soviet forces.

The film was the most anticipated movie in Polish film history. It is available in the US through netflicks. The staff at CofCC.org gave it the highest marks.
