All four South Carolina Gubernatorial Candidates pledge support for Arizona style enforcement bill.


Breaking Story! All four of South Carolina’s Gubernatorial candidates declare their support for Arizona style enforcement.

State Rep. Nikki Haley, who is running for Governor of South Carolina, join twenty other state reps in introducing an Arizona style enforcement bill into the South Carolina House! Nikki is the daughter of Punjabi Sikhs who immigrated legally.

South Carolina’s Governors race has become a proxy war for the 2012 GOP presidential primary. With John McCain, Fred Thompson, Mike Huckabee, and Mitt Romney each endorsing a different candidate. Haley is endorsed by Mitt Romney. Insiders say that outgoing Governor Sanford may soon endorse Haley as well.

The three other SC candidates, Congressman Gresham Barret, SC Attorney General McMaster Lt. Gov. Andre Bauer,  have been campaigning hard to the right. All four candidates said they supported Arizona’s new law at a recent debate.

Haley is said to be third place in the polls ahead of Barret.

Texas Governor Rick Perry has talked the talk for the past few years, but shocked his supporters today. He grovelled to the Hispanic race lobby sniveling “the Arizona bill is not the right direction for Texas.” Texas lawmakers have already introduced an Arizona style enforcement bill into the state legislature.
