Violence raged all over the “Taste of Chicago” festival. Three teenagers were stabbed. Black “youths” battled each other and then police. Over fifty people were arrested. Some women with young children were brutally attacked by a wolfpack of thugs.

From Chicago Tribune…

Bails were set today for three Chicago men charged with aggravated battery in an attack on a family leaving Taste of Chicago Thursday night.

Authorities allege that Danta Densmore, 27, of the 7600 block of South Artesian Avenue; Isaiah Densmore, 18, of the 7200 block of South Union Avenue; and William Densmore, 34, of the 800 block of West 97th Street, punched and kicked the family of five, including a 4-month-old boy, about 8 p.m. in the 300 block of East Jackson Drive. A motive remains unclear.

Police reports state that Isaiah Densmore punched a 13-year-old girl first, then Danta Densmore struck an adult female in the group and the 4-month old boy she was holding. The woman and baby fell to the ground, Cook County Assistant State’s Attorney Yolanda Lippert said in bond court on Saturday. The oldest victim was 25, police said.

When a man in the group tried to intervene, he was punched and kicked, falling to the ground and breaking his foot, Lippert said. The man, the 4-month-old boy and the 13-year-old girl were treated and released from a local hospital, Lippert said; police said four of the family members were treated and released from Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
