DNA database leads to arrest in brutal torture/murder hate crime from 2004.

Victim Gina Gruenwald.

A suspect has finally been arrested for the 2004 kidnapping/torture/murder of Gina Gruenwald in Denver, Colorado.

The victim had bite marks and DNA from those bite marks have matched a black male suspect who is now in custody.

The suspect was arrested on an unrelated charge in San Fransisco and his DNA matched the cold case in Denver. The case highlights the need to take DNA samples of criminals. Currently the NAACP and other far-left groups are fighting efforts to permanently store DNA samples from thugs when they get arrested. The NAACP calls it “racist.”

Had the SFPD not entered his DNA into a national database, they would be releasing him right now. Instead they are extraditing him to Colorado to face first degree murder charges.
