Florida and Michigan fight back against chronic welfare abusers.


Note: the majority of welfare benefits are in the form of subsidized housing, free health care, food stamps, ect. Direct cash benefits are only a small portion. However, the lose of direct cash benefits would provide some encouragement for chronic abusers of welfare programs to go to work.

The governor of Michigan just signed a law that would limit many chronic welfare abusers to a four years of direct cash benefits. This may be the toughest cap in the nation. Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio and Wisconsin all have five year limits. Read Article.
