Extreme left-wingers charged with felonies for assaulting police officers in Chicago

These two were charged with felonies for attacking police officers in Chicago

Will Chicago arrests pacify violent left-wing gangs?

First, three people were arrested from out of state on conspiracy/terrorism charges. The FBI alleged that they planning to make firebombs. The trio are long time far-left activists connected to the Occupy movement. (Two more may have been arrested on the same charges, media reports are confusing.)

Six people were arrested after a terrorist attack on a restaurant in suburban Chicago. Five are from Indiana and have been charged with numerous felonies. A violent criminal gang called ARA claimed responsibility online. A sixth person was arrested at the restaurant on an outstanding warrant for possession of child pornography. This man had a “red-anarchist” tattoo on his chest. This is a symbol used by ARA as well as over groups who were rioting at the NATO Summit.

Ninety people were arrested at the NATO Summit riots. Eight are being charged with serious felonies.

From Chicago Tribune…

Two more people have been charged with felonies stemming from NATO protests over the weekend.

Christopher French, 21, of Wisconsin, was charged with aggravated assault of a police officer for trying to break through a line of officers on bicycles at Van Buren Street and Wabash Avenue Sunday night, according to prosecutors.

Alex Cerajewski, 20, was charged with felony mob action during protests outside the Art Institute of Chicago Sunday night, prosecutors said. No details were released.

Both were due to appear in bond court this afternoon.

On Monday, two NATO protesters were charged with assaulting officers during skirmishes between police and demonstrators on Sunday.
