Hate crime murder in Charlotte

A group of black males have been arrested for the random murder of a 65 year old white male. The suspects are hardcore career criminals who were coddled by the system.

From Charlotte Observer…

Friends of Robert “Bob” Heym, the 65-year-old Charlotte man gunned down Tuesday night, have set up a fund to raise money for a memorial in his honor.

Heym was likely walking home after work at a Pineville warehouse when he was shot, friends said.

Mike Ross, whose mother had known Heym for 46 years, created the Robert Heym Memorial Fund online. Ross said his family hopes to create some sort of permanent memorial to not only remember Heym but to raise awareness about violent crime.

Two people charged with murder and armed robbery in connection with Heym’s killing – Stacey Dejon Brown, 20, and Roderick Derrick Crawford, 21 – remained in Mecklenburg jail Thursday.

The shooting happened just after 9 p.m. Tuesday at Conway Avenue and Blackthorne Lane in the Collinswood neighborhood off Scaleybark Road. Officers patrolling the area heard a gunshot and found Heym shot in the face, police said.

By Wednesday night, Brown and Crawford had been arrested.

Records show Brown has been arrested several times in Mecklenburg County in recent years. Some of the charges he faced, including armed robbery, were later dismissed.

But in 2010, he was twice convicted of assaulting a government official or employee. That year, a judge ordered him to attend anger-management classes.
