Latino gangbangers kill high profile tech pioneer

Sanchez

From UK Mail Online…

A pioneering computer graphics engineer was an ‘innocent bystander’ when he was tragically killed in a police chase in California on Thursday.

Andrew Scott Reisse, 33, was mowed down at a Californian crosswalk by a white Dodge Charger which had also crashed into two vehicles during a high-speed pursuit.

Reisse, co-founder of the Oculus VR virtual-reality goggles start-up, died at the scene.

Police told KABC-TV in Los Angeles the incident began when officers saw two vehicles full of people involved in some type of criminal activity in the 1000 block of Rosewood Court.

Investigating officers then became embroiled in a physical altercation with Gerardo Diego Ayala, 26, which ended with a fatal officer-involved shooting.

Police said a gun was located at the scene.

Investigators allege Victor Sanchez, 21, then drove off in a Dodge Charger with two other men moments before hitting Reisse.

KABC-TV reported all suspects were gang members on probation with outstanding warrants for their arrest and were taken into custody.

‘They ran through several red lights, including the one where they struck our victim,’ Santa Ana Police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna said.

Sanchez is expected to be arrested on suspicion of murder, according to Santa Ana police officials.
