Trayvon Martin supporters turned violent at NBPP led protest in Houston

We reported earlier that Trayvon Martin supporters blocked I-288 in Houston on Monday evening. More information is coming out about the protest.

Protesters tried to prevent a white family from taking their seven year old daughter to the emergency room. She was having a severe allergic reaction. They told the protesters they needed to get to the hospital, the protesters blocked their car and started banging on it. An older white female in the front passenger seat was assaulted as they pushed through.

The protest was organized by the notorious New Black Panther Party [NBPP]. Several people can be seen waving the red/green/black Marcus Garvey tri-color flag. The flag was originally created as a symbol of the back to Africa movement of the 1920’s. However, it has been adopted by black militant groups by the NBPP today.

NBPP leader Quanell X, a convicted drug dealer who is notorious for inciting racial hatred, was leading the protest. Notice how News 2 censors who was behind the demonstration and calls Quanell X a “community activist” on the station’s website. The staff at Channel 2 Houston are fully aware who this guy is and what the NBPP is. Imagine if News 2 referred to a KKK leader, who had a serious criminal record and history of inciting racial hatred in public, a “community activist.”

There was another protest on Tuesday in Houston in which an older white female government employee was manhandled by members of the crowd when she told them they could not enter the Harris County Justice Center.
