RI Middle School cancels Honors Night because ceremony would be too white

Principal Alexis Meyer thought that the honors award ceremony was too “exclusive.”

Principal Alexis Meyer of Cole Middle School, in Providence Road Island, cancelled “Honor’s Night.” She told parents it was “too exclusive.” This is obviously a thinly veiled code word for “too white.”

Cole Middle School is about 85% white and 15% black and Latino. Honor’s programs and AP classes have already been cancelled in California schools because whites and Asians outperform blacks and Latinos.
