Israel launches mass arrests, crackdowns as ISIS/Jihad fears explode

Three young male Israelis have been abducted and are believed to be held by Hamas in the Gaza Strip. Some Palestinians are gloating about the abductions online.

Israel is one of the many countries that supported Sunni Jihadists in Syria. In fact, Israel even carried out air attacks in support of Jihaidts. To the Israeli government, support for Sunni Jihadists was a proxy war against Iran. Prime Minister Netanyahu has publicly expressed hope for a repeat of the brutal Iraq-Iran war of the 1980s.

“Netanyahu views the conflict in Iraq in much the same way that many Israelis saw the Iran-Iraq war during the 1980’s or as then Prime Minister Menachem Begin once said: ‘I wish both sides success'” – Haaretz, June 23rd.

Turkey, Jordan, and Israel have all seen their support for Sunni Jihadists backfire and are facing serious consequences for their actions. The entire region is exploding into chaos.

Sunni Jihadists are believed to be recruiting in the sixty plus Palestinian refugee camps scattered across the occupied territories and five foreign nations. ISIS may have over a billion in available funds, as well as massive stockpiles of weapons and vehicles scattered across a vast region. Sunni militants have vast stores of weapons, that the US allowed them to plunder from the Libyan army, spread all over North Africa as well.

Even as Netanyahu is still practically cheer-leading for ISIS, much of the Israel government is scrambling to suppress Sunni militants in the West Bank, Gaza Strip, and Golan Heights.

In the past week violence has erupted in all three of Israel’s occupied territories, Gaza Strip, West Bank, and the Golan Heights. One major Palestinian refugee camp in Syria has already seen large scale violence because of the Jihad. There are major refugee camps spread out all over Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Egypt, and the Palestinian territories themselves. In Jordan alone, nearly 400,000 Palestinians still live in camps. These camps are the ideal recruitment centers for ISIS.

Last February, ISIS published a video of masked men in the Gaza Strip that it called it’s “Jerusalem champions the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham [ISIS].” At the time a spokesman for Hamas, the ruling party in the Gaza Strip, said that ISIS had spread to the Gaza Strip through social media. He said at the time that their were only small numbers.

Israeli occupation forces abducted another 37 Palestinians overnight Monday, bringing to at least 361 the number of Palestinians arrested since Israel launched a deadly crackdown on the West Bank 10 days ago.

There were no reports of clashes between the soldiers and Palestinians in the violent raids in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, where the military says it has detained 361 people since three Israeli settlers went missing on June 12.

But Palestinian figures put the arrest toll at 471, including 11 legislators, in a crackdown that targeted hundreds of homes, NGO offices, charities, universities and media organizations, local news agency Ma’an reported.

Israeli occupation forces have also killed five Palestinians, including two teenagers, since the crackdown began.

The soldiers have shot dead four Palestinians, including two on Sunday, and a fifth man died of a heart attack trying to prevent occupation forces from breaking into his home.

The Palestinian Liberation Organization, the Palestinians’ main ruling body, said in a statement that Israel had “tightened and sometimes closed checkpoints,” disrupting travel, and had barred any entry or exit from Hebron in the past 10 days.

May 5th, 2013. The Israeli airforce strikes Syrian military targets in Damascus as Jihadists scream for joy. The airstrike was coincided with an all out Jihadist assault. Israel Prime Minister Netanyahu openly fantasizes about a large scale Sunni vs. Shiite, Arab vs. Persian mega war. However, the Jihadists are now expanding in every direction, and Israel may feel catastrophic blowback.
