Investigators find evidence that Ukrainian air force intentionally shot down flight MH17

Standard armament on a Ukrainian SU-25 fighter jet includes a double-barrel 30mm cannon with alternating types of ammunition.

Evidence is mounting that flight MH17 was hit by a missile and strafed with machine gun fire. Apparent bullet holes in the wreckage of the fuselage points to an intentional attack by the Ukrainian Air Force. Radar and flight records show that the flight was taken off its standard flight path by Ukrainian air traffic control and was being shadowed by a Ukrainian fighter jet.

Ukraine, which immediately blamed ethnic Russian separatists, is now refusing to cooperate and won’t turn over audio recordings from an air traffic control tower.

The type of fighter jet shadowing the MH17 was a SU-25. The standard armament for the SU-25 includes a double-barrel 30mm cannon. The gun has a cycling rate of 3,000 rounds per minute.
