Netherlands greenlights its citizens to join fight against ISIS

A Dutch motorcycle club has three members fighting ISIS in Iraq, and the Dutch government says that’s ok.

Three members of the No Surrender Motorcycle club in the Netherlands traveled to the semi-autonomous Iraqi Kurdistan to fight ISIS. Kurdish immigrants in Europe have been travelling to the region to aid their people.

The Public Prosecutor of the Netherlands issued a statement saying that Dutch citizens fighting against ISIS are not committing any crime.

The Iraqi Kurds have been fighting ISIS for weeks now. However. the Turkish army is blocking Kurds from aiding their people in Syria. ISIS is still seizing more and more Kurdish territory in northeastern Syria along the border of Turkey.

The Turkish Prime Minister, who fears losing territory to a fully independent Kurdistan, attacked Kurdish militias. He said they are as bad as ISIS.
