Kevin Crosskey slammed his car into a white couple, killing Ashley Mock. He was sentenced to only two years.
The Montgomery man who confessed to driving drunk, crashing his vehicle and killing 25-year-old Ashlee Mock will spend the next two years in the county jail.
Kevin Crosskey, 29, was sentenced Thursday after pleading guilty to murder and first-degree assault in September, court records show.
Mock’s family questioned the justice behind the man responsible for the death of their beloved daughter only getting a two-year sentence.
According to court records, Mock and her boyfriend, Jeremy Gaines, were standing by Mock’s parked car in the 1900 block of Yarbrough Street in north Montgomery at 11:27 p.m. on Oct 18, 2013 when Crosskey crashed his SUV into them.
