Farrakhan compares MLK’s rhetoric to his own

The radical Black Power movement is “reclaiming” MLK as a Marxist Black Revolutionary who believed in confrontation, not peaceful protest.

Over the years a wide range of groups, including Conservatives, have tried to claim Martin Luther King as their own. This past MLK Day, we saw the #BlackLivesMatter crowd hold aggressive confrontational demonstrations on MLK Day. In St. Louis they even disrupted an annual MLK Day event at a black college and fought with students.

Farrakhan says that MLK and himself spoke the same rhetoric. Farrakhan quotes from a speech MLK delivered in 1967, four years after his “I Have A Dream” speech. The entire speech can be read here.

Farrakhan green-lighted open race warfare at a recent speech at a black college in Maryland.
