Kwame Kilpatrick’s prophetic words on racial and politics
Before Mike Duggan had even declared his candidacy for Mayor of Detroit. disgraced former Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick predicted that black Detroit would soon beg for a white Mayor.
“The people, the indigenous people of the city of Detroit are going to be begging for a savior, and that savior is not going to be black. Some of the blackest people in town are going to say, ‘Hey, we need a white man.’” – Kwame Kilpatrick
Detroit has had a black Mayor for forty years. The city has been in rapid decline the entire time. Mike Duggan was one of the biggest surprises in racial politics since Zambia elected a white man as vice president. Economist Guy Scott became Vice President of Zambia in 2011. In 2014, he became president when Michael Sata died. He served the remainder of Sata’s term until January 2015. Despite being born in Zambia, Scott was ineligible to run for president of Zambia because he is white.
