NC woman killed by female police officer after she called for help
Betty Sexton, a 43 year old Gastonia, North Carolina woman, called police to request assistance. She had two people in her home who were refusing to leave. When police arrived, a black female officer name LaDoniqua Neely killed Sexton.
Sexton had an unloaded antique musket. A witness says Neely asked her to put the musket down and Sexton complied. The witness says Neely shot Sexton square in the chest.
Notice the local media coverage is taking the point of view that Neely should be given the benefit of the doubt. Imagine if the races were reversed.
