Baltimore NBC station portrays gang members as saint-like peace activists

Nation of Islam leaders pose with members of Baltimore street gangs. The NOI is claiming credit for brokering a temporary truce in gang warfare, so members of gangs can protest the police.

Channel 11 Baltimore interviewed alleged members of a Baltimore street gang and portrayed them as saint-like charity workers who are trying to stop the violence. The alleged gang members claimed that rampant black on white hate crime were actually started by white people. They claimed they were marching peacefully when mobs of white people threw beer bottles at them and called them racial slurs. They also claimed that police attacked them while they were trying to defend local business.
