More violence in tiny town where Jessica Chambers was burned alive
Despite having a population of only 460 people, Courtland, Mississippi has been rocked by more violence.
Two armed black males showed up uninvited at a cookout and were apparently looking to harm an individual. They were both shot and killed. This happened on the evening of May 26th. Police quickly ruled out the possibility that the same men killed Chambers.
Presently the two deaths are being treated as justifiable self-defense.
Chambers was burned alive six months ago. Despite a massive investigation, her killer or killers have never been caught. Online sleuths discovered a vast dark underbelly in the community using social media. Authorities in the rural county desperately tried to downplay the level of criminal activity, but were constantly being humiliated by postings on social media.
