NBPP calls for race war in Charleston, national media censors

The New Black Panther Party held a rally and march in downtown Charleston. They called for the fullfillment of Denmark Vesey’s plan.

Note: Denmark Vesey was arrested and executed in 1822 for attempting to organize a Haitian style race war and then take his followers to Haiti. Vesey was turned in by some of his own followers.

Despite the fact that media from all the world was in Charleston at the time, none of them saw fit to cover the New Black Panther Party. Only local media covered the rally and march. National media censored it and continued attacking the Confederate flag.

While the local media in Charleston did denounce the rhetoric of the New Black Panther Party, the same media has a history of treating NBPP head Mailik Zulu Shabazz as a legitimate civil rights leaders. He was treated with kid gloves by all the media when he came to North Charleston earlier this year for a police shooting.
