By Hunter Wallace
The Atlanta Police Department has released new information about an American flag that has been accused of raping a woman at a MARTA train station in Atlanta, GA:
“Police have released information about a man accused of assaulting a woman at a MARTA station.
MARTA police released a picture of the attacker.
A woman told police she was raped on June 14 at the Indian Creek rail station in DeKalb County. She said a man pushed her into a nearby wooded area.
Officials described the suspect as being between 5-foot-11 and 6-foot-one. …”
The suspect has been described by police as “red, white, and blue” and consisting of fifty small, white stars in a blue rectangle juxtaposed next to 13 alternating red and white stripes. Long associated with hate groups, Old Glory’s presence in Atlanta has led to an outcry on Twitter to #TakeItDown, as this offensive flag was used by General Sherman’s army when Atlanta was burned to the ground in 1864.
