New Jersey man almost killed in horrific racially motivated attack

On May 1st, Jerry Wolkowitz, 55, was attacked at his Freehold Township, NJ apartment complex. He was beaten, drug into a parking lot, and then run over with a car. He was left fighting for his life.

Now, police have arrested Jamil S. Hubbard, 25, of Sayreville, NJ. He is facing an attempted murder charge. He is also being charged with first-degree intimidation because police believe Hubbard, who is black, targetted Wolkowitz because he is a white man.

Wolkowitz is a photographer for the local Asbury Park Press. Hubbard will appear in court on July 10th.
