Parents arrested for fight video.

A fight between two teenage girls, which was recorded and posted to YouTube, has resulted in the arrests of a Baton Rouge man and woman.

William Parker, 31, and his wife, Chanda, were arrested by the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office just hours after detectives watched the video. Deputies said the battle between the teens was like dog fighting.

The clip shows a 14-year-old and 16-year-old punch and slap each other, while a man and woman stand there egging them on. It was uploaded to the web on Saturday and had been viewed over 1,000 times by Wednesday.

“This was the first time that we’ve seen this kind of thing here,” said Casey Hicks, a spokeswoman with the sheriff’s office. “What was so concerning to us is that there were adults present facilitating and encouraging this kind of behavior.”

According to investigators, the fight happened at the Parkers’ home on Swingalong Drive in Baton Rouge. They say another juvenile actually shot the video. At one point, one of the girls tried to get away from the fight, but it appears an adult pushed her back into the garage to continue.

The Parkers face numerous counts, including two felony counts of cruelty to a juvenile. If convicted, they could face up to 10 years in prison. Authorities are in the process of trying to identify any other adults in the video. They are also trying to determine if underground fighting is becoming common in Baton Rouge.
