A convicted sex offender opened fire on police in Pearl, MS. One police officer was killed. Two other officers were wounded, but are in good condition.
The murdered officer is Micheal J Walter who played for the Houston Astros from 1993-2000.
Carnell Gaines is a registered sex offender in Virginia. He was wanted for sexual battery of a minor in Mississippi. He died after police returned fire.
