Southern Marriage & Family Defense Rally Planned

from Brad Griffin

In February, U.S. District Judge Arenda Wright Allen struck down Virginia’s ban on gay marriage. In recent months, federal judges have aggressively struck down similar bans in Utah, Oklahoma, Texas, and Michigan and have issued rulings which have undermined bans on gay marriage in Kentucky, Tennessee, and Ohio.

The CofCC and League of the South are hosting a Southern Marriage & Family Defense rally at the Virginia State Capitol on April 5th at 9:00 AM to protest this outrageous assault on states’ rights and the institutional foundation of our Christian culture. This will be the first in a series of rallies in which our activists will stand together in defense of our most sacred rights and values.

Dress Code: No t-shirts. Shirts must be tucked in. Belt needed for pants. No belt buckles with pictures, flags or messages. The same goes for hats. No old or holey jeans. Do NOT bring flags or signs – we will provide these. Be ready to smile and leave a good impression on the public of the CofCC.
