Minor offender says black guards brutally beat him in a racially motivated attack

A minor offender at the Lower Manhattan Courthouse jail says that four black guards passed him around and took turns beating him. He says the first guard told him the attack was revenge for Mike Brown and Eric Garner.

The victim was treated at Elmhurst Hospital for two broken ribs and a punctured lung.

This kind of attack is commonplace in South Africa, where a local jail can be a death sentence for a white person. There are even cases of black South African police falsely arresting white males, then organizing a gang rape of the victim.

From New York Post…

A white inmate is suing the city for $10 million claiming a black corrections officer beat him up as reprisal for the deaths of Michael Brown and Eric Garner.

Joseph Haggerty, who’s locked up in the Lower Manhattan courthouse jail for violating a restraining order by his ex-girlfriend, says he asked an unnamed guard to move him from an overcrowded holding pen on Sept. 18.

The 45-year-old says in court papers that the jail guard told him to move his “white ass” then he punched him in the ribs saying “this was retaliation for the Eric Garner and Michael Brown cases,” the Manhattan civil suit says.

The hack then sent Haggerty to another cell where four different black officers assaulted him, the Manhattan Supreme Court suit claims.

The 45-year-old was taken to Elmhurst Hospital and treated for two rib fractures and a punctured lung.

Haggerty’s attorney, Andrew Plasse, said another inmate witnessed the alleged attack.

Plasse said his client, who is still in jail, reported the incident to the city’s Department of Investigation.
