ASU teacher publicly advocates violence against white “racists”

Arizona State University [ASU] has been in the news because they recently launched a new class that teaches “The problem of whiteness.”

ASU teacher Robert Poe was part of a “teach-in” event to promote the new class. During the event he told an interviewer “I advocate violence against racists when they mobilize politically.” Poe was talking about white people that he deems to be “racist.” When asked if he has ever used physical violence himself, Poe answered “I have.”

Robert Poe is listed as a Faculty Associate who teaches classes on Justice Studies, Welfare, and Immigration at ASU.
